ARGOS, one of Britains biggest retail success stories, has chosen WSL to equip their purpose built distribution centre in Darlington. The 650,000 square foot facility will service the company’s hugely successful furniture business. WSL designed the project to include a mix of UK standard pallet racking, Argos-sized furniture pallets and bespoke stillages accommodated in purpose designed Drive-In racks. Warehouse Systems also came up with a variety of protection and barriers for Argos to choose from to protect their scheme.

This massive, prestigious project will have been tendered, enhanced, finalised, built and handed over all in the space of 12 months. A lot of hard work by both WSL and the specially convened Argos team should result in a great addition to the Argos Direct operation that can serve the North for many years to come.
