Double Deep Racking
Efficient high density storage

Double deep racking is an efficient way of using your storage space. Pallets can be stored two deep, but still accessed from one aisle. This reduction in the number of aisles significantly boosts the amount of floor space available for storage.
For this system, you need a specialist truck with either dual pantograph or slide fork attachments. Lift heights are generally limited to around 9 metres, but you can increase storage density by using double deep, narrow aisles and forklift trucks.
Double deep racking is particularly well-suited to:It enables you to:
Maximise storage space
As the number of aisles is reduced, the amount of floor space you can use for storage is greatly increased.
Achieve high levels of productivityPallets can be loaded and unloaded reasonably quickly.
Maintain good selectivityYou'll have immediate access to 50% of your pallets.
Reduce damageThe upper storage levels can be fitted with guide rails to assist drivers in locating pallets and reduce the risk of error and accidental damage.
